iQniter October 2015 Update
The October 2015 Release of iQniter Cardio Training is packed full of features. This is a short overview and more information will be made available soon.
New iQniter Team Receiver (Antenna)
- iQniter has announced the new iQniter Team Receiver which will receive signals from both the iQniter / Suunto Dual Comfort Belts (ANT) and the new iQniter / Suunto Smart Sensors (Bluetooth) simultaneously.
- The Team Receivers require an Ethernet (wired) connection to your network instead of USB as was the case with the older Team Pods. The good news is that power for the Team Receiver goes through the PoE Ethernet wire (Power over Ethernet). That means you can place the Team Receivers much farther away from the computer
- In addition, with multiple Team Receivers, the 72 participant limit can be exceeded.
- The Team Receiver covers less range in order to work with the Bluetooth belts. Contact us and we’ll be happy to go over your floor plan, and advise you on how many Team Receivers will be required.
Support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Sensors
- iQniter Cardio Training will support the new Bluetooth iQniter / Suunto Smart Sensors in addition to the Dual Comfort Belts. The Smart Sensors will require upgrading to the Team Receiver (see above).
- The Smart Sensors can also be paired with the Suunto Ambit 3 series of watches or with an iPhone/iPad or Android device using the MovesCount app. The Movescount App can be downloaded for FREE and offers an easy way to track your latest run, ride or other sporting activity on the go. It will also show all of your sporting activities on Suunto’s FREE sports diary Movescount.com
BasiQ+ License
- In order to support the Smart Sensors, iQniter has announced a new license type called BasiQ+. BasiQ+ will also support the advertising video features that have been moved from the BiQing option. For more information, contact us.
- BasiQ+ license is now included at no addition cost when you renew your BiQing module annual license.
- All data is now stored on the cloud making installation easier, and eliminating the risk of data loss in the event of your computer failing.
Cardio Training Features
- Low Battery Level for the heart rate belts will be shown on the participant’s tile on the Group Screen and added to the individual training report.
- Participant’s Recovery Time after a session has been added to the Individual Training Report
- New security levels for chain, club and computer levels for settings
